Meet Our Underwater Gaffer
Aaron Keating started his career as an electrician at the age of 19 being granted an apprenticeship at LEE Lighting. After serving his time as an apprentice, he started on ‘Thomas The Tank Engine’ and very quickly progressed to working on large-scale productions, including the iconic ‘Harry Potter’ film franchise starting with ‘The Prisoner of Azkaban’, alongside many other blockbuster movies.
In 2011, being an avid diver and lover of all things water based Aaron’s dual passion for diving and film lighting converged. After obtaining his HSE class 4 Comercial qualifications in South Africa, he became involved in the underwater scenes for ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.’ This marked the beginning of his career in underwater lighting, a path that has seen him contribute to over 20 hit films. Heading up and running under water electrical teams on many notable projects including ‘Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation,’ ‘James Bond: No Time to Die,’ and ‘Indiana Jones: The Dial of Destiny,’ and the like.

Qualifications
Our Underwater Gaffers and Technicians have extensive experience and hold a minimum of HSE Class 4 Commercial Diving qualification, complemented by full City & Guilds electrical certification. They are experienced in collaborating with Directors, lighting teams, fellow gaffers, and electrical crews to deliver the results you want.
